From April 4th to 6th, Innovation Bee proudly participated in BEYOND 2025, one of the most influential technology exhibitions in Southeastern Europe. Held in Thessaloniki, the event once again served as a meeting point for global innovators, and our presence was louder and bolder than ever before.
Our striking booth, featuring the emblematic bee from our logo, quickly became a standout in the exhibition hall — attracting attention from visitors, investors, and fellow innovators. Over the course of the three days, more than 500 people stopped by to connect with our team, explore our products, and discuss the future of Artificial Intelligence across key sectors.

But the buzz didn’t stop there.
In parallel with the exhibition, Innovation Bee also participated in the Hackathon organized by the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA) — and we’re proud to share that we won 3rd place along with a €2,000 prize.
Tackling Plant Disease with AI and Drones
Our awarded project addressed a critical issue in global agriculture: the early detection of plant diseases. Traditional inspection methods are slow, costly, and often ineffective across large fields — leading to delayed interventions and excessive pesticide use.
Our proposed solution: a comprehensive early detection system for plant diseases that combines Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), multispectral sensors, and Artificial Intelligence. Using deep learning models, the system analyzes drone-captured images to detect diseases before visible symptoms appear. Farmers receive real-time reports, risk maps, and treatment recommendations — all available in multiple languages — allowing for precise, sustainable interventions and maximized crop yield.

This project aligned with several of the Hackathon’s core challenges, including:
- Smart Agriculture & Automation
- Intelligent Resource & Energy Management
- Advanced Agrochemicals & Precision Fertilization
Following the award, Innovation Bee has initiated the process of joining the EBEA Incubator (Θ.Ε.Α.), and we have already received proposals for co-development and research collaboration to advance this solution further toward commercial use.
In a recent interview with Powergame.gr, our CEO Christos Roumeliotis shared:
“This year’s BEYOND was especially productive for Innovation Bee. In parallel with the exhibition, we participated in a Hackathon where we won 3rd place for our smart plant protection system powered by AI and drone swarms. This integrated platform combines UAVs, multispectral sensors, and AI to deliver real-time reports and intervention strategies — offering sustainable solutions for modern agriculture.
Following our recognition, we’ve taken steps to join the Θ.Ε.Α. incubator, and we’re already exploring collaborative opportunities to move from research to commercialization.”
